If you're still using a funnel, you're bringing a knife to a gunfight. 2024. Marketing isn't the same. Shit is different. Attention is currency. Ad costs are high.
Leads can be cheap.
But do you really want more leads?
Inside your business, only 3% of your market is ever ready to buy.
Eugene Schwartz's Model: The Five Stages of Awareness
You have to create an ecosystem that addresses all levels of awareness:
Completely Unaware:
These people don’t even know they have a problem. You’re a whisper in a hurricane.
Imagine trying to sell ice to someone who doesn’t know what heat is.
Problem Aware:
They know they have a problem but have no idea there’s a solution.
It's like having a headache but not knowing about aspirin.
Solution Aware:
They know solutions exist but don’t know about you.
Think of them as window shoppers, glancing but not committing.
Product Aware:
They know your product but aren’t convinced it’s for them.
They’re dating around, not ready to settle.
Most Aware:
These are your ready-to-buy people. They just need a little push.
They’ve got their wallets out, just waiting for the right moment.
My Journey: From Bombs to Breakthroughs
The truth is, I used to be terrible at marketing. I sucked at it.
My first campaign? Bombed. Felt like a kid lost in a mall, overwhelmed by the noise. But now, I get it. It's about making people feel seen and heard, meeting them where they are in their journey.
A client needed help with email marketing. We revamped their strategy, focusing on these awareness levels. Within three months, conversions shot up by 30%.
Creating Your Ecosystem
Imagine an ecosystem like a finely tuned machine. Each part has a purpose. Each stage addresses a different level of awareness. Here's how it looks:
Low Offer Product:
A book or a small course. Something cheap, easy to digest. It's the entry point. The bait. No more freebies.
Mid-Tier Product:
A more detailed course or a group coaching session. It builds on the low offer, adding more value. It's where you start to see commitment.
High-Ticket Coaching or DFY Services:
This is the top of the ladder. Personalized, high-value services. One-on-one coaching, done-for-you solutions. It's where the big money is.
Remember, attention spans are SO short. You need a system that addresses all types of awareness.
Without it, you're just shouting into the void, hoping someone hears you. If you don’t know how to create a system that does this, reach out. I'd love to talk with you.
